William Kaiser Van Pelt 1905-1996
William Kaiser Van Pelt (1905–1996) was an American businessman and Republican politician who represented Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1951 to 1965. Before his congressional career, he owned and operated the City Fuel Company in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

William Kaiser Van Pelt was born in Glenbeulah, Sheboygan County, WI on March 10, 1905. He moved with his parents to Fond Du Lac, WI and graduated from High School there. There is no information on any college education.
From 1939 to 1952 he was the owner and operator of City Fuel Company, Fond Du Lac, WI. He was the Chairman of the Fond Du Lac County Republican Committee from 1944 to 1950. In 1944 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention.
In 1950 he was elected to the 82nd U.S. Congress, and reelected to the six following U.S. Congresses. He served in Congress from January 1951 to January 1965. He was not successful in the 1964 election. He remained a Fond du Lac resident for the remainder of his life.
William Kaiser Van Pelt passed away in Fond du Lac, WI on June 2, 1996 at the age of 91. He had led a long and productive life. There is no information on where he was interred.
