Archibald Van Horne ?-1817
Archibald Van Horne (d. 1817) was a Maryland politician who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1807 to 1811. He also served in the Maryland House of Delegates and State Senate and chaired the House Committee on the District of Columbia.

Archibald Van Horne was probably born in the State of Maryland. His exact birthdate and birthplace are not known.
He was appointed an adjutant of the 14th Regiment of the Maryland Militia on April 18, 1798 and commissioned a captain on May 26, 1805. He was a Member of the Maryland State House of Delegates from 1801 to 1803. In 1805 he again served in the Maryland State House of Delegates and also served as its speaker. He resigned from the House on November 11, 1805
He ran for election to the 10th and 11th U.S. Congresses in 1806 and 1808. He was successful and served in the U.S. Congress from March 1807 to March 1811. In the 11th Congress he was the Chairman of the Committee on the District of Columbia.
Following his U.S. congressional service he was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates and served from 1814 to 1816. In 1816 he was elected to the Maryland State Senate and served until his death.
Archibald Van Horne passed away in Prince George’s County, Maryland in 1817. The exact date is not known. There also is no information on where he was interred.
