William William Van Wyck 1777-1840
William W. Van Wyck (1777–1840) was a New York farmer and politician who served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1821 to 1825 and chaired the House Committee on Post Office Expenditures.

William William Van Wyck was born near Fishkill, Dutchess County, NY on August 9, 1777. He attended Fishkill Academy and became involved in farming.
He ran successfully for the 17th and 18th U.S. Congresses and served in Congress from March 1821 to March 1825.
While in Congress he was the Chairman of the Committee on Expenditures in the Post Office Department during the 18th U.S. Congress.
Following his congressional service he again became involved in farming in Dutchess County, NY.
William William Van Wyck passed away in Fishkill, NY on August 27, 1840, at the age of 63. He was interred in the Dutch Reformed Church Yard in Fishkill, NY.
